Bushnell Sunshade for 50mm Rifle Scope

The Bushnell Sunshade for 50mm Rifle Scopes is a metal tube that threads onto the front of any rifle scope with a 50mm objective extending past the objective lens to keep sunlight off the glass. That shade is what protects your sight picture. When the sun sits low at dawn or dusk glare and lens flare can wash out your target at the worst possible moment and this sunshade cuts that reflection so you get a clean high-contrast image when it counts.

Fitment is straightforward. The sunshade screws directly onto the threaded objective bell of a 50mm scope so there are no extra rings or tools to fuss with. The body is metal which holds up to field abuse better than plastic and shrugs off knocks against a blind or a truck bed. Once it is threaded in place it stays put through recoil and rough handling and it adds a layer of protection over the objective lens against rain and blowing debris.

On the range the extended hood does more than block sun. It helps tame the mirage shimmer that builds over a hot barrel and warm ground. This gives you a steadier picture for load development and precision work at distance. In the field it keeps a low sun from bouncing off the objective and giving away your position while you sit in a stand.

This item ships as the sunshade only with no cap included so pair it with your existing scope caps if you want to keep the glass covered between shots.

Product Features

Metal construction for durability in the field and at the range

Fits rifle scopes with a 50mm objective lens

Threads directly onto the scope's objective bell no extra hardware needed

Reduces glare and lens flare in bright or low-angle light

Helps cut mirage shimmer for a cleaner sight picture

Adds protection for the objective lens against rain and debris

Ships as the sunshade only (no cap included)

Item : BHSUNSHADE

MFG : SUNSHADE

For hunters glassing into a rising or setting sun and target shooters chasing tight groups on a bright range this Bushnell sunshade is a small inexpensive upgrade that pays off every time the light turns against you.
