Underwood built this 9mm Luger +P load for deep straight-line penetration on tough game. A 147-grain hard cast flat nose bullet leaves the muzzle at 1100 fps and carries 395 ft-lbs of energy so it drives through while holding its weight. That penetration is the reason this round earns a spot in a hunting rig.

Hard cast lead runs harder than standard swaged lead so the bullet holds its shape under stress and stays intact on impact. The flat nose profile cuts a full-caliber channel and resists deflection on impact which keeps the bullet tracking straight on angled shots. This is the combination hunters reach for when they want reliable penetration on wild hogs or a dependable backcountry round against larger animals.

The +P rating means this cartridge loads to higher pressure than standard 9mm. That pressure is how Underwood pushes a heavy 147-grain bullet to 1100 fps supersonic velocity. Because this is a +P load confirm that your firearm and any suppressor setup are rated for the ammunition before use. The nickel-plated brass case feeds smoothly and resists corrosion and it uses a Boxer primer so you can reload the spent brass after a range or field session. This is new production non-corrosive ammunition packed 20 rounds per box with 10 boxes to a case for shooters who go through volume.

Product Specifications

Manufacturer: Underwood Ammo

Caliber: 9mm Luger +P

Bullet weight: 147 grain

Bullet type: Hard Cast Flat Nose (HC / FN)

Bullet diameter: 0.355 in

Muzzle velocity: 1100 fps (supersonic)

Muzzle energy: 395 ft-lbs

Case: nickel-plated brass reloadable

Primer: Boxer

Rounds per box: 20 (10 boxes per case)

Item number UB719 MFG 719 UPC 816874023430

Contains lead not lead-free

Suppressor safe new production non-corrosive

If you carry a 9mm in the field and need it to perform well on heavy game this hard cast hunting load is built for exactly that job.
