<p>The Barnes Tipped TSX (TTSX) is a .30 caliber reloading bullet for handloaders building rifle loads for large game. The TTSX is the polymer-tipped boat-tail version of Barnes's all-copper Triple-Shock X design. It is machined from 100% copper with no lead so the bullet holds together as a single mass on impact. That polymer tip raises the ballistic coefficient for flatter long-range flight and starts fast reliable expansion the moment the bullet hits.</p><p>This box holds 50 bullets each of which are 150 grains and sized to .308"" for the .30 caliber. It ships as a bare component bullet for reloading so you seat it in your own brass with your chosen powder and primer. The boat-tail base cuts drag and helps the bullet hold velocity downrange which pays off on longer shots. The .308"" diameter works across the .30 caliber cartridges handloaders commonly build. This includes the .308 Winchester the .30-06 Springfield the .300 Winchester Magnum and other .300 magnum cartridges. Because component bullets carry no published pressure data on their own always match your load recipe to the exact cartridge and rifle you are feeding.</p><p>On impact the bullet opens into four razor-sharp copper petals increasing the frontal diameter by roughly 50 percent for a wide channel. Because the bullet is monolithic copper it retains nearly all of its weight and drives deep which matters when you are hunting heavy game and want a clean ethical kill. Those four petals stay attached as the bullet penetrates so energy keeps working through the target instead of shedding fragments early.
